Edit: I have been trying for hours to get this on my blog, here it is,
too funnyYesterday I ran into a friend while I was out shopping, the day before I saw him at the bank. I know he reads my blog, so I suspect he is stalking me, I think he wants my autograph.
He approached my van and I opened the door to talk to him as I have crank windows and I was blocking traffic in the parking lot. His comment to me " OMG do you live in here?" The funny thing is, the boys at work have accused me of living out of my van, as they like to look in our cars.
If any of you read semi ex's never updated blog, you will note he has threatened to take pictures of the inside of my van.
It's true, my van is disgusting. It is a combo garbage can, closet, book carrier. Blankets are in there from the summer outdoor events. And of course old bills, paper etc..
I know he was shocked because every time I have been to his house his wife says it is a mess, but it isn't, in my eyes it's immaculate.
Some people don't realize what a real mess is.
The thing is though, if I keep my van a mess, no one asks me to drive places, they always offer to drive.
Even the desperate guy at work who asks everyone for a ride home since he lost his licence years ago, only asked once.
I have been better about the house, but that's only because we aren't home as often and Jennie is at school.
The weird part is, even though I am a slob, Matt's room grosses me out. I am always compelled to clean it and the 1% of genes I got from my mother mysteriously come out when I am in his room.
Here is another video for your watching enjoyment.
Who's dreaming of a white Christmas ? Not me.

So true confession is good for the soul! So this blog must help your soul.
I want a white christmas...mainly because I don't have to travel this year...otherwise, I could live without it.....Have a great week!
I hate it when my care gets all messy.
Perhaps you should just walk up and give him an autograph. Not on a check though.
I am a slob too and yet FTs apt ICK but the diff is MY DIRT doesn't gross me out
I will not admit to being a slob...because I am trying to fix that about myself..:p
I have been trying for years, someday I will accomplish it!
I love the video, it;s hilareous
:lol::lol::giggle:
No, Ms. Semi-ex, I'm not stalking you, altho if you want to think that, I suppose that's OK.
Folks, her van isn't THAT disgusting..I mean, there's no sour milk or half-eaten McDonald's cheeseburgers in there. And it didn't have that homeless living-in-your-car smell either (not that I would know about that, y'understand).
In fact, a nice couch with its legs sawed off would be a very nice addition to the van. That...and some curtains..and some incense sticks...and some 8-track tapes, man...
Drive in it once... and you'll go from "snows fun!" to "snow sucks!"
I love that there was a person who bailed out of their car to avoid injury... Sweeeeeet!
I can't see the video! LOL about your van! I have a friend who had a set of hot rollers in hers all the time, plugged into the cigarette lighter! She had everything known to mankind in there, too. It was pretty disgusting.
Kathi
The tequila ad rocks. My van is a mess too. I blame my children.
OK, well, I'll have to come back fromwork, I hate dial up.. have I said that lately??? I can't watch the videos.
Glad Jenny made it ok to where she's going. I hope you didn't pass on the vacation curse.. I chanted, I promise.
hahahahahahahaha

Hey, as long as you're not keeping half-consumed bottles of medicinal tequila in the van, it's fine, right?
 Thanks for the comment!
Tequila probably does make you happier but I can't stray from Dr.Pepper long enough to try it. And the only side effect is becoming hyper:eek: Plus I as odd an indvidual as I can be sometimes:rolleyes:, who knows what I would do (if I drank tequila)? I would probably swing from the chandelier....:fun:
Happy Monday :sunny:
Be careful of homeless people sleeping under the newspapers and crap in your van, this time of year.
What? It's cold out, it could happen.
That video is pretty funny. :giggle:
Ever since I downsized from a van to a car, keeping the vehicle clean isn't so much of chore. Less area to mess up.
You're one of Xanga's great humorists and I know that you know that I know that, so your comment is slightly confusing. I also remember your kind attempt to melt rache's heart. Only true friends act as you did. And I know that you know that I know that as well, though it appears you think that I've forgotten all that. I have not forgotten, and never will. Happy Hanukah, my friend.
In my opinion, he IS stalking you and he DOES want your autograph!!! Afterall, you ARE Xanga's best comedy site!!! Funny about your van. Unfortunately, I can relate to that. I use my car for work and it doubles as my office. Oh well .. who really cares, right??? It's just a vehicle!! Happy Monday, Laura!!

Two hilarious videos.
"if I keep my van a mess, no one asks me to drive places, they always offer to drive"......then it is worth it all!!!!!!!
I hate a messy van though...I can't even start the engine till it is straightened up.
I don't want a white Christmas. Ever. Not as long as I live in Houston anyway.
Christmas, 1899 - snow in Houston. September, 1900. Galveston's "Great Storm."
Christmas, 1960 - snow in Houston. September, 1961. Hurricane Carla
Christmas, 1997 - snow in Houston. September, 1998. Tropical Storm Frances
Christmas, 2001 - snow in Houston. September, 2002. Hurricane Claudette
Christmas, 2004 - snow ON CHRISTMAS DAY in Houston. August & September, 2005. Katrina and Rita.
Need I say more?
I don't think I'd like driving in snow...not if that stuff happens!
OMG, look at all those idiots who can't drive. :nono:
Your van sounds like my wife's car. Full of random pieces of paper and empty Starbucks cups. I have to bite my tongue whenever I climb in, lest I wind up doing the driving.
I want your autograph too.
I hate Michigan winters but it's been really wierd weather lately. Lets hope it stays this mild all winter:rolleyes: I know, FAT CHANCE, but one can have dreams!
HUGS!! Michelle
Well my sister in law has an excuse for making the van all messy: her darling year old baby!
IN some areas snow and ice are more hazardous, in hilly areas it is impossible to stop without snow chains.
Sometimes I wish I could drink, but hey I am too much of a controling freak to let go.
I was wondering about the search footprint at my blog. Someone went to my place because I was the last person to leave a coment at semi-ex's blog. Your coment must have inspired them to look at his blog.
I think I really cheated on the math on my greenhouse blog. Explaining greenhouse warming is not easy. Well I guess you got your mind off on whether Jenny is ok, even though the Palestinians are thinking of civil war!
Didn't even ATTEMPT to open the attachments on this post, with THIS computer, but your post is SO FUNNY!!! When the kids were small, I used to hate to park my car along a sidewalk where someone could look in and see the mess. Usually not so bad now, but it sure was THEN!!!
OMG... just remembered to come back at work and watch these... OMG.. those are both funny... I need to make an appointment with my DR today!!!
OMG - you just described my van. I tell you maybe we're twins separated at birth.
Great videos. The one thing I always managed to keep at least semi clean was my car when I had it.
Last time I drank Tequila i got into a fight!
baha... people are concerned that I usually leave my car unlocked but I know that all they have to do is look inside the window and they'd go, "EWWWW, nothing here!" :: snickers :: I could leave a thousand bucks in the glove compartment.
And my house? A few years ago there was a string of robberies on my street. Thankfully that trend seemed to move away. We aren't in a bad area. The neighbours on either side of me got hit and the two closest across my street. At the time, my yard was in an unfortunate state. baha... my unlocked shed full of $2000 worth of tools and equipment was left intact.
oh man....the snow video is great (i know, i'm late to the comment party). if there's that much snow on the roads cars have no business being out on the road except in an emergency. at least there is a visible reason for people to be sliding around like that. i'm from boston and learned things like "not slamming brakes" when there's snow/ice a long time ago. NC drivers don't seem to have ever learned those rules, making driving here, even with only mildly inclement conditions is a nightmare.
