Kim's a ho
Edit: If you would be so kind as to review my site here http://www.blogged.com/blogs/momofjenmatt1s-momaroo-site.html
So yesterday at work, I had to sit in on a group. The counselor had a worksheet that said, "Kim's Problem/ Situation"
It stated the problem, which was that Kim was dating Joel, but slept with Joel's friend, and was now pregnant. Then it asked a series of questions which were meant for discussion. The questions were things like, should she tell Joel she slept with his friend and that the baby may not be his? Should she have an abortion and not tell either guy? Should she try and pass the kid off as Joel's regardless? Then it asked things like, what if she had only been dating Joel for a couple months? Would that change your answer?
The counselor encouraged me to participate, so I did. I said, "Kim was a ho, and her problem was that she didn't know how to keep her legs closed."
The questions were harder though. For example, the one about passing the kid off as Joel's when it could be the other guy's. They just didn't give enough information. I say, that depends on which guy has more money.
Raising a child is hard in these economic times, who is going to support Kim and her baby? Which one wouldn't be smart enough to ask for a paternity test?
Also, are the two guys of the same race? Clearly it would be much easier to pass off a white baby, if both guys are white and Kim is white. And I'm sure a black guy, assuming Kim is black too, will wonder why " his" baby is a blond, white kid. If it were a mixed raced child, her hand would be forced.
All the boys agreed an abortion was out of the question, none of them believe in a womens right to choose. Half of them are already fathers and none of them like condoms and won't use them. Putting the baby up for adoption was fine though, especially if it was an aunt and uncle who did the adopting. That way you could see your kid grow up, but not have to do any of the raising yourself.
They stated that it would be " bogus if they bought all this shit for the kid, and then it turned out to be the other guys", but then someone said, "you could just return the stuff." Which is true. I made sure to tell them to always keep a receipt.
Even though most of them were already dads, I gave them a quick conception lesson. I explained that the egg can live for a couple days and sperm can live up to a week, so there was really no time in the month that was safe. Some of them, already dads, didn't even know what ovulation was, or how babies were made.
I mean they knew it was from intercourse, but what goes on inside? No clue.Which is why people like Kim get into these messes.
No one would have been angry at the friend. Apparently, if Kim was going to give it up, the friend couldn't resist. The friend should have told Joel that his woman was a skank though, then Joel could dump her ho ass.
Apparently, boyfriends should keep their women under control. Other wise she's up for grabs. And it's perfectly fine for Joel to cheat on Kim, if he can get away with it, and doesn't get anyone else pregnant.
If there was enough time left in group, we were going to roll play. I suggested that the counselor play Kim the ho. She liked that and we laughed. The boys were upset though, and one said " You and Miss Laura are too old to be acting so immature"
I'm never to old to act immature, so whatever. We ran out of time anyway, since we started talking about how twins were made and how Obama felt about abortion.
One boy said, he saw on the news that Obama was going to be president and McCain was going to be vice. I told him no, but he insisted, so maybe I missed something.
Anyway, that group made one hour of the eight go fast, so I hope I'm in there again.
Maybe next time it will be, Joel's problem, Kim gave him herpes.

Oh my,you work for Jerry Springer ,right?
@seedsower@xanga - ha ha, no, Maury.
love your insight into kim! right on!!
@jerjonji@xanga - thanks : )
Kim's definitely a ho lol Its amazing sometimes, the insight you get to how a teenager's brain works, when you talk to them. More people should talk to kids - theirs or someone else's... as long as someone is really listening to what they're saying.
@madamzephyrus@xanga - I agree, especially at risk kids. I learned a lot in that hour, I hope they did too.
Wow! I wonder if these groups the social worker facilitates, do anything to change the kids' perception of things. That would be helpful. I'd like to see these kids begin to realize that you can't just go around (male and female) knocking and getting knocked up!
Kathi
Okay. This:but then someone said, "you could just return the stuff." made me groan. This: "Apparently, boyfriends should keep their women under control. Other wise she's up for grabs" made me sad. But this: "One boy said, he saw on the news that Obama was going to be president and McCain was going to be vice. I told him no, but he insisted, so maybe I missed something" just left me baffled. Who are these people you are in a class with?!?! How old are they? Are they chaperoned? Functional in society? Sigh.
@Still_groovy@xanga - yeah, well it's hard to undo years of a generational pattern.
@kamomlisa@xanga - I work with trouble boys ( 13 to 17 ). We are not in a classroom, although we do offer school in the fall. It is a residential treatment center. And as far as functioning in society, their gangs think so. This was a therapy group. This blog, although true, was meant to be light hearted. I know it's serious, but it's also realistic that some of our youth come from bad areas and are not as on top of things.
How come we never got to talk about stuff like that when I was a teenager???? I could have learned so much more than I did...
I really really really want to see that list of discussion questions.
On a serious note, I think you did those boys a huge service to at least tell them about ovulation. It is ridiculous how little people know about human reproduction. It's not like it's that complicated and even those girls who are having those boys' babies don't have a clue. So sad.
Hey, what happened to Mrs. Expunge? Or Dr. Laura? If they ask you what you are a doctor of, you can always say, Oh it's more or a nickname and then ask them for an address that you can send the results of your government funded study to in 5 years after it is published. (-:
@evagarringer@xanga - It was too hard to change my name, I kept forgetting Maybe when school starts in the fall.
lol... I was laughing at SeedSower's comment... yep, this girl is a ho! ha!
I thought you were gonna get rid of this Momaroo site? Are we commenting here now or the other site? I've been out of the loop all summer... sorry! Ulcer problems!
Hope all is well with the kids and all... you, too!
Hugs!
Damn that Kim.
Sounds like an interesting group. Too real for so many teenagers. It is sad that the boys know so little about basic biology (ex. ovulation). Sad that the guys don't believe in a woman's right to choose. Even sadder that they don't use condoms.
Yep, you nailed it.
I know this post is supposed to be humorous, but these kids should really not be having babies. How do you not want to wring their necks each day???
@daisymae81@xanga - I got rid of my xanga site, but I should show up on your subs list instead of my xanga site. So yeah, come here, if you want of course.
@stixandstonz@xanga - I know, Kim and her problems : sigh:
@jcmonogram@xanga - true, very sad. And don't forget, they know nothing about politics either
@Get_Real_64@xanga - Accept what you cannot change. It is VERY sad that these boys are fathers. Some are so immature, they act like they're five themselves. It did freak me out at first, now I just hope I can plant a seed of understanding and hope it grows. Otherwise, it would be too hard to work there. Also, if they already have a couple kids, we can't undo that, but we TRY and teach them how to be a parent. We have parenting classes, which is more than they will get on the streets.
People are pretty clueless about sex. When I was young people got pregnant and didn't even know how or thought that douche was birth control. It's sad to know that they are still so ignorant. It's amazing that society works as well as it does given the thought processes of the population. I do believe that Obama recently gave a speech to deadbeat dads. Maybe they should watch it on You Tube.
ps--I'm not sure how I feel about Momaroo. Judging from some of the things that are said over there, the moms in this world are not much sharper than the dads you describe...I am thinking of the capital punishment moms in particular but there are other posts that are just zzzzz.
@Isismoon@xanga - I hear what your saying. I offered to write for momaroo and be one of their Lions or whatever and was turned down. They did put my drivers ed post on the front page though. I am keeping this site though, it's really the same as my xanga soooo... These young dads at work, are scary, with their lack of knowledge/maturity, but I have not read any momaroo's that are that bad. I have read some zzzzz's though. That's why I offered to write for them and spice it up, but they shot me down.
ryc:no problem! it was a joy!
My word! You life is just so full of everything that we see on televison or the movies! The thing is however, it is very real and while it may be humurous, sad to say, it seems as though you see so much of this. We are so blessed to have someone with your talents, humor, and concern for the well being of all these young men...you are making a difference, never think that your not.
I love that it becomes Joel's problem when he has herpes LOL.
I cannot believe you've never been to Second City and live in Chicago! First of all, I love Chicago!! Do you enjoy living there? Have you heard of Second City? The tickets are $19.50, which is about twice what a movie costs.....but way more fun!
Speaking of Second City and Momaroo--my kids sometimes quote Saturday Night Live and say "I'm not a woman, I'm a mom".
Yep - kim's definitely a ho. I love how it's not the friends fault though, as he can't be blamed for following his baser instincts! LOL Oh to only be able to live with no moral convictions what so ever. What freedom.
@Dreamere124@xanga - Thank you what a nice thing to say : )
@sew56@xanga - Oh yes, everyone knows about second city it's famous. Like I said many Saturday night Live people started there. We have a Zanie's that is much closer since I am in the suburbs and that gets some good comedians. I have been to Chicago for some really good musicals and my dad lives down by Watertower. I love Chicago, it's a nice clean city.
@Isismoon@xanga - ha ha, great saying.
@azcason@xanga - true, I never thought of it that way.
@momofjenmatt1 - The moms are boring and the Christians worry all the time. I'm sticking with regular Xanga.
@Isismoon@xanga - ha ha ha. I hear ya!!!!!
laura, this is HYSTERICAL!
