Bad Mom
Since so many people are talking about politics, Palin, her pregnant daughter, etc... I thought I would blog about something really important to the American People. Lynn Spears and her screwing over her kids tell all book.
If you had not heard, Lynn Spears, Britney and the pregnant sister's, mom, Lynn, has written a tell all book about her kids.
Excuse me? Didn't she get all pissed off at Dr. Phil for telling the world her kid had issues? Not that anyone was surprised, but she acted like he was a big, family, secret, teller.
And now, here she is, telling all. From what I hear, it's not one of those tame boring things either. She is spilling everything, from when and who Britney lost her virginity ( apparently it was some popular jock) to when Brit hit the booze, ( she was 13.)
At least she admits to allowing and even encouraging sex and drinking, unlike that Lindsay Lohan's mom, who acts like she was mom of the century, when she was out drinking with her under aged daughter.
So Lynn, while I think it's cool your admitting to being a really bad mom, it kind of sucks your telling the world all about it. I mean, don't you have plenty of money? I'm sure your little Lolitas girls, shared some of their millions with you. Is it really necessary to ruin peoples image of young Britney, when she had real hair, and was all cute in the Mickey Mouse Club? I mean, now I am picturing a drunk Britney, singing M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.
And that's upsetting. And even though I was pretty sure Brit was doing Justin Timberlake, I thought she at least lost her virginity to him. Now I learn it was some random, high school, football player! To much info, Lynn TMI.
On a serious note, Lynn, don't you think Britney is f'd up enough? And the other one, getting married at like 12, ( or is that Sarah's daughter?) Why would you add fuel to the fire.
I don't mean to judge, but it seems like the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree Lynn. Maybe you should be looking at your poor parenting issues in private, with your therapist.
I'm just saying.
I know I would have to be pretty broke to tell my kids secrets. Then again, my kids tell all would be pretty boring. What does that tell you Lynn?

Pretty sad... worse is that people will buy the books at all and support that sickness financially.
Yeh, that's BAD! If you can't trust your own mom to keep your secrets, who on this earth could you trust?

My mom was good at blabbing things, but I knew better than to give her anything too juicey...the high-light was maybe that I'd started shaving my legs or gotten my period. But just over-hearing her telling her friends about those things was embarassing enough. I can't imagine if everyone in the country knew my name and face and Ma knew who I first slept with and when my first alchoholic party was. *shiver*
I agree that it is saddest that the public will buy these books quicker than funnel cakes when the carnie cart is in the Wal-Mart parking lot. WHY?!?!
Ugh. I always thought Lynn Spears was a skank from the first time I saw her on the Today Show years ago. It's no wonder her daughters are so f****d up.

I Soooooo agree with you!!! What the hell is she thinking?? Britney seems to be doing so much better now.. this will surely set her back some. At what point do you stop pimping your own kids out in order to make a buck??? Horrible mom!!
I'll bet she's gotten at least 10% of everything from the very beginning. Guess that wasn't enough for her.

The longer I live, the more I realize how fortunate I was to have the parents I had. I only hope that I have and will do as well by my kids as my parents did by me (and I know I've already failed that test).
@MixedUpMale - I'm sure you didn't fail the test. ALL PARENTS make mistakes, but at least we are not as someone commented " pimping" our kids out.
She is a lousey Mother.
I actually saw an interview with that jock guy and he more or less admitted that he was the one that took Brit's cherry. The nice thing about the Spear's family - it makes my dysfunctional family growing up look more like the Brady bunch. That's pretty impressive.
She sucks for trying to make money off her daughter's issues.
Celeb moms like Lynn Spears make me want to hurl. They can blame themselves for their children's bad behavior!!

So...I might not be the best mom in the world? But at least I didn't encourage bad behavior. And my daughter's life would look pretty boring on paper.
I wouldn't read it if someone gave it to me. I think it's terrible that she'd do this. Bad mama!
Where does the male parent fall under this category of being blamed
for bad children? It seems like semi-ex (ex-punge) doesn't get much
blame or credit for Jen and Matt (and your humble credits as parent is
also exemptory since Matt and Jen seems to be normal)
Then again
I often blame my father instead of my mom for the way I turned
out....though I think my family blames my mom for spoiling me. My
earliest exploits occured after 21 so maybe my parents are outside of
the category of being blamable? What about the handlers of B. Spears? I
know some artists have very good spin doctors and handlers....maybe she
didn't spend enough for good guardians?
Maybe the government
could be blamed for the bad behavior of B. Spears? They seem to get
most of the blame for everything else....
@PPhilip - well As far as the two celebs I mentioned. Lindsays dad is an alchoholic and was in prison ( probably not the best influence) I do now that it was the MOM in the bars with her all the time. Britneys dad SEEMS to be taking care of her and her needs and the MOM is writing the tell all. I'm sure he wasn't the best dad in the world though.
Ex-punge was and is a VERY good father. I could not have raised my children without him. We were a great team as far as child rearing. Although of course we made some mistakes, all parents do. I actually have mentioned him in much earlier blogs and our family, but I talk more about me because it's my blog and my experience.

Hey there. After a xanga hiatus, I'm back. And just in time to agree with you about Lynn Spears!! I really do not like her and I feel sorry for Britney and Jamielynn. Oh. And Britney's kids, too.
The whole thing is tragic. Not in a third world country starvation sort of way, but in a my mom raised me in a barn sort of way.
