  • BLAGO BROKE MY CAR

    Last night Jennie hit a pot hole, almost lost control of the car ( my new car), and ruined two tires/rims.  To be fair, it's not her fault, it's the State of Illinois fault ( they own the road she was on).  In other words, it's that loser Blagojevich's fault.
    And the new guy, whatever his name is, better fix my car.

    This may not look like much, but trust me it can do a lot of damage.

    These are just some of the hub caps that have fallen off.

    Unfortunately, none of them are Subaru, because I lost mine in another pot hole incident.

    The problem has been getting worse and worse every year.  Learn to make roads Illinois!   It's no surprise we have bad winters.  We shouldn't have to deal with this crap.  I have heard it can take months, even years to get reimbursed and they make it so hard, that people just don't bother.  Typical!

    Well they have not had to deal with me and my peri-menopausal, unbalanced, hormonal self.  I will fight until the end.

    Blago is just lucky my kid wasn't hurt.  Thankfully, Jennie babysat for one of our state reps last summer, so maybe he can hurry the process.

    You know if you can't make roads that break at the drop of a snow flake, you would think you could put bright warning signs when pot holes are coming up.  Of course that would be the entire road, but still...

    Jennie isn't used to driving since she is away at school, she wouldn't even think of the pot holes.  Even if she could, there is no avoiding them  without causing an accident sometimes.

    I don't really even have the money to shell out in the hopes of getting reimbursed.  This whole thing has put me in an uncharacteristically bad mood.

    The only good thing about Illinois is Chicago. I find it to be a fairly clean and a likable city ( even if they did give me a $100.00 ticket for running a red light, by taking my picture, which is rude.)  Plus it wasn't my fault, and it was a clear attempt to extort money from me.  I paid it ,and now think Blago used the money on product ( as in hair.)  I am sure he had his hands in the Chicago cookie jar, just because I am now blaming him for all my problems.

    Anyway, someone better pay up, or else!!!!!!!

    I'll keep you informed.

  • LOLOL  Go read my blog.  Wish I could blame mine on Blago!  Wait, there must be a way.  He closed all the state parks, which caused me to be at home on Christmas break instead of frolicking in a park, so I took my car to the nearest place for the oil change, instead of the lube place across from the State Park.  Whaddya think, will it fly?

    I know what you mean.  Last time we drove home from, and through, Chicago, they were terrible.  And it isn't even spring yet.

  • Blago, as punishment, should have to do community service and be given a shovel and get shoveling on the hole problem.

  • @musicmom60 - of course it's Blago's fault everything is.

    @ALL1Tribe - great idea!!!

  • LOL about how Blago used your ticket money!  His hair is the funniest thing about him!

    I'm glad Jennie wasn't hurt, but sorry about the hassle and expense of getting the car repaired.

    Kathi

  • Sounds like the roads in Illinois are like all the roads in all the New England states come winter time.  Maybe we can blame those on him too?  Can I go back  30 years?

    I agree with you about Chicago, it is a facinating city, though glad I don't live there.

    Glad Jen wasn't hurt, some potholes can swallow a car whole.

  • @Still_groovy - thanks : ( grrrr

    @tvtfln - yes, lets blame Blago for everything.

  • The roads here are terrable too with huge potholes.  The city got money to repair them but now say the fund is dry.  People are demanding to know where the money went.  The state parks are closing here and so are the state camp grounds.  Hope you are able to get your car fixed.

  • @stixandstonz - well I don't know where you're from, but that sucks!

  • i total;y agreee. our streets need fixed too.Glad ur daughter wasnt hurt.

  • Are you kidding? They look fecking HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. I'm surprised the car didn't break an axle.

  • @j_renee83 - thanks, me too

    @RedHairedCelt - OMG, I just found out we were supposed to make a police report AND they only pay half ( maybe) anyway!!!!!  And so far there is more damage to the car than I thought.

  • Why do the blogs I WANT to read (like YOURS) get buried under the crap of other excessively-posting bloggers whose blogs I DON'T want to read.  It's a mystery.

    Sorry about your car, so glad Jenny is okay.

    I am cranky today so that is all you get.  Thanks for making me smile. (-:

  • @evagarringer - thanks for making my day, should I personally tell you I posted from now on LOL?  Or just unsub everyone else, that would be the best idea.

  • Yikes, that pothole had to be teeth jarring too when she hit it....just glad it wasn't a sink hole.....

  • Yes maybe you should. And maybe I should. That would CERTAINLY solve my problem, wouldn't it!

  • pot hole in Florida damaged 2 of our tires and rims.

  • @SoonerRose - no kidding

    @evagarringer - yes, it would

    @awish4you - it's Blago's fault even if he is not Governor of Florida

  • YOU GO and make the Blago PAY. I know well this whole pothole problem, we've got it up here in Canada too, cepfer up here if guvment didn't repair them quicklike, we'd have NO ROADS AT ALL in no time flat. LOL

  • ...Are you sure it wasn't Jennie's fault?

    I did rollerblade into a pothole once in high school though. Then they filled it in a week and a half later. Not because of me, they just did.

  • @CuriousGeorgina - pot holes suck

    @sexytexan45 - Jennie does not have the money to pay for tires or rims, so yes I am sure it is not her fault.  The state of Illinois does not have money either, but I have a better chance of being reimbursed by them.
    Just like the fire hydrant at your house was not her fault, but is actually your parents fault for   buying a house with a hydrant in the driveway.

  • Well, we tried to have that hydrant moved, but the city wouldn't let us, so let's blame the government again and call it a day, yeah?

  • Damn that Blago.  But it coulda been worse.  Ya coulda had Palin.

  • I kind of got a crush on you, Phil

  • mom--where are you?

  • @twoberry - true

    @ALL1Tribe - aww thanks

    @Isismoon - I'm here, just busy
