I'm Baaaack ___ insert scary music here
Hello SOME Xangans and Some family and friends who read this, I have returned. For how long? Who knows? Whenever Xanga feels like a chore I need a long break.
I know many of you state, and it may be true, you are here for yourselves and don't care if anyone reads your musings. But I'm not one of those people. If I was, I would write a private diary. I have Facebook to let everyone I care about, and even those I am " friends" with but have no idea who they are, to give out important information like " I just peed" " got off the couch and went to the kitchen".
NO, this is where I want and need an audience. This is where I get fake self esteem and fake ego boosts. But that takes a LOT of work.
For example, I have been MIA due to my new hobby Instagram. This is an iphone app. where you post photos. Similar to Xanga, there are many BAD or mediocre photos on the popular page. At least Instagram is honest and actually tells it like it is, a popularity contest. I am not talking about my photo's not making popular page, I honestly don't care, but you should see some that get very little comments.
I don't mean to sound racist or stereotypical, but Asians, especially Japanese, can take the photos! I have seen stuff I would not be able to afford get like 5 likes and zero comments.
So even though I don't care about the popular page, I do want people to look at the photos and give feedback. Otherwise, what's the point? In order to do that, like Xanga, you have to toot other peoples horn. Again, A LOT of work. I am not so desperate as to go on people's gorgeous photos of Nepal and say " good job, PLEASE follow me, please, please, please," which I get a lot. And I will only like photos I really like, but I have made my way around, and have probably seen a million photos.
I will usually comply with the beggers and follow them, because I feel bad they are desperate. But then I unfollow when they post thousands of pictures of Justin Bieber. Not only did they NOT take the photo, I don't care to see the alleged baby daddy, especially since I think he's gay, and I don't like his fake heterosexualness.
I did have one of my photo's stollen, which is flattering when there are so many Asian masterpieces, but also a pain in the ass.
I had to E sign them, which probably doesn't even help. You can photoshop that out, but the watermarks ruined the look I was going for.
Those of you who don't know my real name, will be happy to know, my full name will be revealed today, when I post some of my latest that I want you to comment and rec on.
Since I have blown Xanga off, I'm not really counting on that, but you never know. Sometimes I am missed.
When I was on Instagram, a fellow Xangan recognized my momofjenmatt moniker. They have friends lock, so I won't bother doing a shout out, but that was both flattering and embarrassing. It either means I am too cool for words and a mini celebrity, OR it means I spend WAY too much time on the internet.
Either way I took it as a blogging sign. So here I am. These are some of my latest photo's. They are no Asian perfect photography, but it's a start.
The flowers
The kind of like flowers
other stuff
My friend Diane in her Ursula costume that was made and designed by my friend Isaac ( except the wig, which was made by Diane). She wore it in a parade on Halloween in Boys Town ( Chicago) and won best original adult costume! She won a VIP pass to a bath house ( for gay men, where I believe sexual things happen). She thought it was a spa and was super excited ha ha ha.
I want love. Begging. Just kidding. Hope the people who do come over enjoy.

I like your pictures. Very pretty. You have an eye for composition.
Instagram is a cool app. I use it, but I rarely post on their site. Right now my favorite app is camera+.
Nice photos. I really dig the shots of your friend!
@C_L_O_G - I love camera+ too. Thank you for the compliment. It used to be kind of a pain to go on, but know I found there are several ways to go on online ( webstagram) HELP lol
@oceanstarr - Thanks and thanks. I really do appreciate comments @CLOG that goes for you too.
They only get better and better. Good work!
Does instgram doctor your photos? These pictures are beautiful!!
I love your friend's costume; most awesome!
@fratmom - No, I doctor my photos : ). Thank you MUCHO!!!!! I love her costume too it rocked.
I don't have an app-enabled phone or pad or doohickey or whatever but I like your pictures anyway.
I refuse to kiss your butt, though, because I'm cool enough for you to follow me without needing me to beg you
I do love your photography. You have a great eye.
AND OMG I MISSED YOU I'M SORRY I FELT LIKE A CHORE COME BACK TO MEEEEEEEEE.
Maybe @opticalnoise - maybe I will just come over and visit you. Thank you and your cool factor is very high.
Welcome back to paradise. Or hell. Depending on the day.
I love your xanga posts...
The close ups of the mum and the bleeding hearts are very good! You make it look easy but me and my camera know that it is tough to get so many great photos. So glad you decided to post again.
Momof JenandMatt was probably Occupied. Then again maybe you wanted to get out of the cold? (Even LA occupy is cold from the rain).
Somewhere around LA Bald Mike too is occupied but hey us unmarried folks have to take a break and look out for number one.
I will be silent about the photos. My cell phone photos are just convenient and shows that there is no dedication in taking photos....
@DivaJyoti - you got that right honey : )
@sincerely_jennie - Thank you baby girl
@murisopsis - Thank you, it is easy if you have a huge memory card and delete most of them ha ha. A good one has to show up eventually. What I do take credit for is editing. Some of those looked REALLY bad before I messed with them. Of course they have such good programs and apps now I probably shouldn't take credit for that either.
@PPhilip - Humm, not sure how to take the photo comment. I actually put A LOT of work into mine, sometimes hours ( seriously) I edit the crap out of them. So I think I'm dedicated. Just like I put a lot of time into these blogs, which is why I appreciate comments so much. So thanks for commenting. Poor bald Mike, all occupied. He puts a lot of time and thought into his stuff too, it gets frustrating to et little response when others who say nothing get a lot of attention.
Great Photos!! One of them is now my PC desktop background, and it was a hard choice from among three. You rock!
I didn't know you came into my garden to take some of the pictures of the flowers. ( J/K) I love them Laura. YOu are so talented.
I am glad you are back here on xanga. I have been gone too for almost three weeks or more. It feels good to be back.
Love the pink and purple pic until you just got too long for me....
@onjerusalemhill - OMG, now THAT was a real ego boost! Thank you!!!!!!
@ZSA_MD - yes, I was there,busted stalking you
@vexations - geeze you just have to scroll ha ha. Thanks, I'll come visit you.
I do like your photos, but I will not beg for followers, haha.
Xanga seems to go through periods where it dies for a while and then people come back. I was MIA for a while, and then comes back to life. I was MIA with writing anyway for a long while, but now I'm trying to do NaBloPoMo and my own version of NaNoWriMo to get myself back into it.
Glad to see you back here, I've always liked your sense of humor.
@musicalsoulmel - Thank you, wf is a nanopoopoo or whatever you said? I asume it has to do with writing? No, don't beg, it's unflattering : )
@momofjenmatt - lol I know, too many acronyms....
NaBloPoMo is National Blog Posting Month, where you commit to writing a blog entry every day for a month. It's supposed to be a copy of NaNoWriMo, but it could be for any month really.
NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month is supposed to be where you commit to writing 50,000 words that may or may not eventually become a novel. Who knows why they picked November, of all months? You'd think holiday preparations might get in the way or something.
Since I haven't written in a long time I started with smaller goals and tweaked NaNoWriMo to make my own version.
I love all the photos but why none of John and Isaac on Halloween? And what about a photo of you as the Witch? Personally I felt way too skinny. The Sea Witch costume was way too big. Too bad we did not have time to take it in.
@Diane Capasso - Diane, Isaac hates being featured in anyway YOU of all people know that. You are stick thin and it's pretty groos.
welcome back!
I think your photos are first class. Asian schmasion. You,ve got a great eye for photography.
I do wish you had finished that tale about getting off the couch and going to pee. It was exciting and probably would have gotten another forty or so eprops.
I suppose The December season was filled with busyness. I know that I didn't complement you on your photos but that is just me, I just use photos and don't bother editing them or complementing them.
Who knows what will happen this 2012. I hope we survive it.
Zakiah sent me a note and recommended I check out your site. These are beautiful photographs with great creative work done in (I assume) Photoshop. I studied photography at NYU for a while. I ate up photo magazines and books on photography. The following summer my wife and I spent our usual 6 weeks in her native Germany (West Germany at the time). I was blown away by the photos I saw in photo magazines there. That was pre-Photoshop and pre-digital photography. It was pre-alottathings haha.
I love Ursula's costume. It's pretty amazing and it doesn't surprise me her costume won.
I would but say to you all "impressive information"
keef first day out of jail
